Requirements for Paraguay Gun License

The Process

You attend:

Phase 3: Exams
- Written Exam: 30-40 multiple choice questions on gun safety and Paraguay laws (70% passing score). We provide study materials.
- Practical Exam: Live-fire test at authorized range demonstrating safe handling and minimum accuracy.

Phase 4: Processing
Authorities conduct background checks (national + INTERPOL), verify documents, and make final approval decision. Meanwhile, we track status and handle any requests for additional information.
Phase 5: License Issuance
Your approved Paraguay gun license is issued, valid for 5 years. Authorizes purchase of approved firearm types from licensed dealers.

Ongoing Requirements
After obtaining your Paraguay gun license:
- Storage: All firearms must be stored in locked gun safe, unloaded, with ammunition stored separately
- Transportation: Firearms must be unloaded, in locked case, only between home/range/gunsmith
- Registration: Each firearm must be registered within 30 days of purchase ($50-100 per firearm)
- Renewal: License expires after 5 years (requires updated psychological/medical evaluations)
